List of Apple Devices that are Likely get iOS 15 Update

It’s just been a day that iOS 14.3 has launched ProRaw and Apple Fitness Plus. The Pro Raw converts computational photography into a RAW file. The RAW file is then processed, giving magnificent snapshots, like never seen before. On the other hand, the Fitness Plus App helps you to monitor your health in an orderly manner.

ios 15 compatibility

No sooner than the latest iOS 14 update, people are looking forward upon the rumors of iOS 15 update. This talk seems to be a little hilarious as because it’s been only several weeks into iOS 14. However, based on different assumptions, we can expect a roll out update in the following list given below:-

  • 2021 iPhone line up (iPhone 13)

Still now, the company has not announced anything in official about the new iPhone 13. It is a rumour that the latest iPhone 13 shall feature ProMotion, Always-On-Display etc. However, one must keep waiting for the official announcement from the Apple company.

  • iPhone 12 Models

The iPhone 12 Models feature A14 Bionic processor, which is said to be the fastest processor till date. The models pack in a “Ceramic Shield” glass coating which is tough and durable. In addition, the MagSafe branding for wireless charger makes it a good buy.

  • iPhone 11 and XR Models

The iPhone 11 and XR models offer a similar design to its elder brother i.e. iPhone 12 models. They come with an aluminum frame and a glass rear. Being previously launched, these models have more rounder edges than the iPhone 12 models.

  • iPhone XS Models

The iPhone XS Models comes with good OLED panels, high pixel density, Dolby Sound, 3D touch tc. The XS models feature a water resistant body (IP68), which means that the phones can be submerged up to three metres of water.

  • iPhone X

iPhone X was one of the most top trending phones in 2017. It was the first iPhone to feature an AMOLED display during its time. The 5.8-inch display offers crisp, clear videos. It has great options namely – attention detection, Animoji, high precised 3D sensors etc.

  • iPhone 8 Models

The iPhone 8 models come with an aluminum alloy case. Their bodies are splash, water and dust-resistant (IP67 – not fully water proof). Other features say wireless charging, good quality stereo speakers, bright “Retina HD display” etc makes it a suitable option to go for.

  • iPhone 7 Models

Like its elder brother iPhone8, the iPhone 7 models offer almost the same features. However, the iPhone 7 been launched earlier than iPhone 8, backs out in terms of internal memory storage, quicker charging etc.

Conclusion

There are chances of other models to get the update – the iOS 15 compatibility list include iPhone SE (2nd Generation), iPod touch (7th Generation) etc. However, one must keep in mind that the OS update news is just a rumor at present. Let’s hope the iOS 15 update to arrive as soon as possible.

iOS 13 Compatibility: Which Apple Devices will be Compatible with the Next generation OS?

iOS 13 Compatibility: Apple is likely to announce the first beta version of iOS 13 at the WWDC 2019 which is expected to take place in June 2019. This is also the time when we get to check out the latest iteration of the mobile operating system from Apple. The WWDC 2018 event gave us a fair dose of what new features the new operating system is expected to bring. The same can be expected with the Apple iOS 13 next year as well as Apple usually provides a good preview of the new changes and upgrades at the annual event held in June every year. However, in this specific article we will only be concentrating on the devices which we think will be compatible with iOS 13.

iOS 13 Compatibility
iOS 13 Compatible Devices (Full List included)

Talking of iOS 13 compatibility, it would be a good idea to know whether your Apple device will be compatible with the upcoming mobile operating system so that you can download the first beta update as soon as it is made available by Apple. While it would be a bit difficult to predict exactly which devices will be supported as the launch is still months away, we have a fair idea about it following the trend of Apple since the last few years.

There is rumor is the market that iOS 13 will take a big leap ahead, and will create a history in the mobile operating system zone. Thus it is fair to assume that all the devices won’t be compatible with iOS 13, and Apple will scrap almost all the older or non-updated devices from updating to its latest OS. Keeping that in mind we have tried to predict all the iOS 13 supported devices in this article. We hope you will like our effort. Let’s get started!

You may also check iOS 15 Compatible Devices from this list.

iOS 13 Compatibility: List of All Supported Devices

Although we are still months away from iOS 13 release, many users have already started to inquire whether their Apple devices will be compatible with the upcoming next-generation OS or they will have to upgrade to a new device to run the software. Since Apple has already stated that it is focusing more on bringing stability and performance improvements rather than new features in the iOS 13, we can expect all devices currently compatible with the iOS 12 to be able to support iOS 13 as well.

List of iOS 13 Compatible iPhones

Since Apple has already stopped supporting 32-bit applications from iOS 11 onwards, it is very certain that any Apple device which does not support 64-bit apps (iPhone 5c and lower) will not be compatible with iOS 13. Here is the complete list

  • iPhone X
  • iPhone 8 Plus
  • iPhone 8
  • iPhone 7 Plus
  • iPhone 7
  • iPhone 6s
  • iPhone 6s Plus
  • iPhone 5S

NOTE: Although we have included iPhone 5s in the list, it is still not clear whether it will be compatible with the upcoming iteration of Apple OS. So if you are still using the iPhone 5s, consider upgrading to a higher model at the earliest.

List of iOS 13 Compatible iPads

Coming to the iPad models, all the devices starting with iPad Mini 2 and higher are expected to be compatible with iOS 13. Since the iPad Mini 2 is powered by an A7 chip and supports 64-bit applications, it should be compatible with the next generation operating system. Here is the complete list:

  • iPad 6th Generation
  • iPad Pro 10.5-inch
  • iPad 5th Generation
  • iPad Pro 12.9-inch Second Generation
  • iPad Pro 9.7-inch
  • iPad Pro 12.9-inch First Generation
  • iPad Mini 4
  • iPad Air 2
  • iPad Mini 3
  • iPad Air
  • iPad Mini 2

List of iOS 13 Compatible iPods

Unfortunately, there is one iPod model that will be compatible with the iOS 13 as none of the other models support 64-bit applications. The list includes the iPod Touch 6th which is powered by an A8 chipset which is a 64-bit ARM-based system.

  • iPod Touch Sixth Generation

iOS 13 Compatibility: Full Support or Limited Features

One think you must consider before upgrading your devices to iOS 13 is that you may not be able to enjoy all the iOS 13 features in your device even if it is listed above as the iOS 13 compatible. Apple has a tendency to limit some features related to processing power and hardware capabilities to some of its old devices in order to provide exclusivity to its latest models.

We are not yet officially informed about the iOS 13 features or which of the features that will be exclusive to the latest Apple devices only. But, if we closely look at the iOS 12 trend, then we can see that that mobile operating system restricted some of the coolest features like the ARKit (one that brings the Augmented Reality think into mainstream), TrueDepth Camera (that levels up the mobile imaging scene to a new level) and FaceID (exclusive to iPhone X only) only to most advanced devices like iPhone 6S or above of the Apple ecosystem.

If you are, by any means, interested in knowing the probable iOS 14 Compatibility list, then you can read from here.

Wrap Up

Well, by now you should have got a fair idea about which devices are likely to be compatible with the upcoming iOS 13. If you are still using an older generation Apple device which is not compatible, consider upgrading to any higher model by referring to the iOS 13 compatibility list above to enjoy all the new features the next generation OS is expected to bring. This list may also get updated in the coming months so you can bookmark this page for later use if you wish.
