iOS 13 beta: While Apple mostly focused on bringing performance improvements and bug fixes with the iOS 12, it did ring in a few changes and new features. The most prominent of these feature being the ability to make group FaceTime calls with as many as 32 participants at the same time and new Animoji and Memoji support for iMessages. While it did not manage to surpass iOS 11 in terms of popularity, it was widely praised by users across the globe since its release in September 2018. But now with iOS 12 all done and dusted, people have started to speculate the release date of the next iteration, that is iOS 13. However, before the stable version is released, we have the Apple iOS 13 beta releases to look forward to.
Apple iOS 13 Beta: What is it?
Before the actual stable release of a new iteration of Apple’s flagship OS every year, the company releases several beta versions of the OS to perfect the platform for both app developers and the general public. While in the earlier years, Apple only released developer bet versions of its OS, it has decided to roll out public beta versions as well in the last couple of years. So with the iOS 13, Apple is expected to follow the same routine and release the iOS 13 beta versions for both developers and the public to acquire feedback about possible bugs and issues that it needs to address.
iOS 13 Beta: When is it Coming?
As mentioned earlier, Apple has been following a pattern since 2011 when it released iOS 6. If we closely follow this trend of Apple since 2011, we can very easily see that the company announces a new iteration of its flagship OS at the WWDC annual event every year
It is immediately followed by the first preview in the form of a beta release the same day or the next day with the final stable version being released in September. The time period between June and September usually sees the release of several beta versions for both developers and the public. The beta updates are rolled out mainly to gain user feedback and also to fix any issues or bugs with the OS before the final stable version is made public.
So by following the recent trend of Apple closely, we can deduce that the company will introduce iOS 13 at the WWDC 2019 followed by the release of the first beta version the same day or the next day. It will be followed by a couple of more beta releases in the next two months with the final stable version expected to release in September.
